Sexual Harassment

Policy and Procedures

CCE staff members who believe that the actions or words of a supervisor, coworker, vendor, supplier, visitor, client, or any other non-employee have violated the Sexual Harassment Policy should report the behavior to their immediate supervisor, Executive Director or designated Equal Employment Opportunity Officer immediately. 


CCE employees seeking additional information may do so by visiting the CCE Staff website. Information on the CCE Sexual Harassment Policy can be found in the Policy and Procedures section of the Human Resources web page.  Cornell University employees should contact the University’s Office of Workforce Diversity, Equity and Life Quality.

CCE has purchased copies of the video, Person to Person, as a tool for workplace harassment prevention. Please contact Barbara Eshelman if you would like to use this video. Annual inservices on workplace harassment are strongly encouraged.


Person to Person: Creating Respectful Workplaces
is a powerful 25-minute video (with leader’s guide) dramatizing real work situations in which sexual harassment can occur. In addition to examining the legal background around sexual harassment, the video details how sexual harassment can be prevented by building mutual respect. Dramatic vignettes provide opportunities for discussion and learning.
